Hair Extension Consultations are MANDATORY!

Consultations are always required in order to receive hair extensions at our salon.  See the head and it’s shape and the texture of the clients hair ie thickness and the look the client is attempting to achieve is discussed and then we give our honest/professional opinion in regards to what about of hair will be needed to achieve the clients desired results.  Thin hair will need 6-7 bundles (bundles being bundles of 25 stands of hair)  of extensions, medium thickness will need 8-9 bundles of extensions and thick hair will need 10 bundles or more.   With thick hair you will need to add more rows than what is typically used. Each client is different, depending on their desired look aswell as what their hair looks like to start with. A CLIENT CONSULTATION IS MANDATORY in order to decide how much hair is needed. There are salons that will give you a consultation over the phone and advise you to go to your local hair supplier and purchase one bag of hair (five bundles/125 strands) without ever seeing your hair!!! One hundred and twenty five strands of hair is usually enough hair to add volume, but never enough to add length. You must meet with your hair extension expert in order to determine what type, and how much hair is needed for the look you desire.  So many local salons are not doing consultations and in the end really don’t care how their clients hair looks.  What is the use of getting hair extensions if everybody knows.  We guarantee that upon departure of Modern Hair Junkie, noone will know you have hair extensions.
