Modern Hair Junkie is a new fashion forward beauty salon located at 4th Ave and Brown in Old Town Scottsdale. Modern Hair Junkie brings the talent, atmosphere, and over-the-top customer service to the neighborhood that you’d normally find in a New York City salon. The only difference is we are offering it in a friendlier, more upbeat fashion and at an affordable price. We offer a wide range of services from cuts/colors to hair and eyelash extensions to spray tanning. Whatever your beauty need is, we are able to accomodate you. Our goal is to offer exception service in a upbeat salon full of laughter and good times. Modern Hair Junkie is open 7 days a week (Sundays by appointment only) and offers complimentary beverage service and light massage to all our clients and late hour appointments are glady accepted.

We believe that, above all else, that when you look good, you feel good. It may be a simple idea, but it’s far from trivial. What could be more important than how you feel about yourself? When stylist accepts responsibility for how someone looks—something every stylist does, whether they admit to it or not—and you understand the impact self-image has on a person’s happiness and success, styling hair becomes serious business.

Ms. Manae (Owner/Stylist)

Ms. Manae (owner/stylist) has been involved in the beauty/fashion industry for most of her life.  She is a hair extension specialist, certified through 909/808 and Head Trip and has been doing hair extensions for eight years.  She graduated from Avalon Academy of Beauty and began her career shortly thereafter  in Scottsdale Arizona as an independent stylist. Ms. Manae also has a very strong background with color and hair shaping.  She decided to take her true passion and open her own salon. Modern Hair Junkie was opened in June of 2010 and Ms. Manae wanted to provide a fun, modern place where women could come in to an atmosphere full of energy and laughter and be able to leave the stress of the outside world behind them while being pampered and made more beautiful then she was prior to walking into Modern Hair Junkie. Ms. Manae’s intension is for her clients to enjoy themselves while having excellent customer service provided to them.  She is known for outgoing/bubbly personality and you will not find anyone more passionate about the beauty industry.
